Full Moon = Happy ME

Hey all!...there is a full moon tonight and I am full of energy like always when there's one...I am supposedly a moon child and I believe that to be true....I always seem to feel my best when the sun shines in the daytime and the moon shines at night.....now of course with all the good feelings comes a buncha sewing and crafty ideas so I have been creating like crazy....
anyway, does anyone watch Project Runway?...I had never watched it before this season (Season 10) but I guess there comes a time for most things...I have been really enjoying this season a lot and always keep myself up to date...now remember my girl Pink Cookie? (my dress form)  well since I now have her I have been wanting so badly to learn draping techniques...Project Runway is so full of other fluff that I hardly get to see them work but I do notice some of their techniques...they do a sketch of what they are going to create before every project...I need to learn that too...One of my back issues of Sew News had some information on draping and sketching but I have a feeling that those techniques are going to be like all the others I learned...all of a sudden!...I read and read but I learn the best by just doing it.....
**Off subject** my huny just came home with a shirt from his friend...He told his friend that I can put his button back on his shirt....I don't even like his friend!!!!!...but I will put the button back on his shirt; just because I'm nice like that...(wink-wink)
I also started a new window treatment for my bathroom but that will be a WIP (work in progress) because I did NOT realize all the ironing involved....I wasn't ready...LOL....

On a Sunday afternoon

Hey everybody!....this may turn into another vent post so beware....anyways, the bad news first then...my school situation is dire and I have a huge bill that I have to take care of before I can even take my next two courses...I am completely and utterly tripped out about it but I do still have my faith that things will work themselves out....I am also equally frustrated with my job situation.....If I would be able to finally get a job, my school situation wouldn't even bother me in the least...I usually don't talk about these things because it just seems like I am a wet blanket but I am about to burst at the seams with irritation...
My "friends" aren't really cool anymore, even the one who seemed to really understand...such as life right?....they may have never understood me anyways...I don't even visit them anymore and they don't visit me...I have some new friends that are just my style but I don't want to bog them down with this kinda mess....although they may be needing some venting time too...I kinda feel bad using my blog as my diary but it seems that I am comfortable writing my thoughts down here...and plus I need a new diary anyways...the others are chock full...
The good news is I have still be sewing though...I truly believe that sewing came into my life for a very good reason...I NEED to sew at times as it may be the only time the negative thoughts are invisible and I don't feel them at all....The days are still absolutely beautiful with the sun shining every morning....sunshine makes me happy too....I may have seasonal depression (S.A.D) because when the sun doesn't shine and they days are gloomy, so am I...of course my doctor has a wonder pill that promises to make me feel better but I don't believe in stuff like that...just bring the sunshine back and I will be just fine.....Well enough of my rambling and time for some shots of my latest creations....ttys

What would a honey badger do?

Hey all!  I finally was able to dress Pink Cookie up in her first outfit...(well the outfit is mine but she got to try it on first LOL)....my huny went through his t-shirts and gave me a bunch of em....I refashioned one into a halter top and embellished the halter with fabric paint...I have since fell in love with yet another thing crafty: fabric paint...its awesome and it lets me make personalized stuff which is another thing I love...I also made a lightweight knit skirt....the combo was super cute together and so comfy.....on another note, only two weeks of class left and I for one and glad...I have had enough of these particular courses and instructors....ttys!

Late night hype

Hey all!...another late night for me but it wasnt filled with sewing...I guess this post is more a vent post than anything as I have been sewing but not much....I do however have some photos to share of my latest stuff...I feel very "out of sorts" right now...Im sick and tired of school and I am sooo ready for it to be over....I have been in school for four straight years with no breaks....it is really getting to me lately too.....I have 5 courses left and they are dragging like nobody's business...I am also kinda down because I dont have a "real" job still, yet......its kinda depressing because I need a job to get my sewing thing up and running like I want to....I guess I will keep trying...it seems that is all I have been doing and all I can do...my family is supportive constantly telling me that things will happen when they are supposed to but I cant help wanting it to happen NOW....I am not patient nor have I ever been and its very, very hard for me to be when I have to....I know that may not be a good thing, to have NO patience but its me and I have been this way since I can remember.....I wanted to sew something this evening but im in pain right now too, feeling bloated and irritated with these monthly lady problems.....I just have a general down feeling right now....well I guess I will share my latest projects and talk to you good folks soon!

Sewing bug steady biting

Hey yall!....been sewing just a bit lately.....going to vent about school now....I have been kinda irritated because on my last writing assignment I received a low score....now anyone who knows me knows I love to write and low scores and writing don't go together with me...no low scores except for in math for me and then it is to be expected....Make a long story short my instructor ticked me off because I specifically asked him what content he was requiring and he was very vague; almost like he didnt want to explain...then boom!..a low score...geez...anyway, vent over, I guess i'm over it and tomorrow's a new day...I of course sewed my blues away and created a few little items....im super full right now too writing this (that's why i'm not sewing)...I made spaghetti, garlic bread, and a simple green salad.....very good I tell you what!....well let me share these photos and I will get with you lovely folks later....

Is it the new sewing room?

Oooh Wee!...I have been creating some super cute clothes!....Some of my sewing friends know that a little while ago I found a cool sewing blog written by a pretty little lady who goes by the name of Mimi G....she creates some of thee nicest things...and she isnt new to this game at all and it shows baby!...anyways, she posted on her blog that she had been checking out some jean maxis....one from True Religion and the other one from Diesel....they are both almost $300.00!!!!!...ummmm, no I would rather have that in fabric and plants....LOL...but the skirt is sooo cute so she decided to create a tutorial so we all could have our own original....(did I mention that this is a FREE tutorial)....boy oh boy did mine come out cute....Here is a link to her blog and believe me you might be on the hunt for a new sewing machine if you dont have one already  http://www.mimigstyle.com/ ....her middle name should be INSPIRATION....I also made a super cute halter top that is a "shirr" thing baby! Hi Y'all

Hi folks, I have been trying to space my posts out but I thought I had better write something before too long....I have been doing okay, and the classes are going all right although I have to write a paper EVERY week....my friend says its just to rule out the weak but sheesh!...I finally copped the new Sew It All (volume 4) and I must say I am impressed....there a lot of good stuff to sew up and enjoy, information-stocked, and packed with sewing goodness once again...I have them all now and I literally cant sleep because of it....on a pie chart, sewing would be thee biggest piece of my world...well, besides my life! LOL!....I also picked up the new Sew Stylish (a magazine Threads puts out, soooooo cool and thats my second one of them...do I hear collection?)....I recently organized a virtual sew-along with a couple of family members, just waiting on them to say they copped the pattern and fabric....we are sewing up #1808 from Simplicity's SewStylish line......I have also been doing a buncha other stuff like refashioning and dyeing fabric...did some tie-dye and revived an old halter top to a beatiful purple hue.....Bliss indeed....Well of course I have photos to share because they speak louder than me sometimes...and thats LOUD!....hehehehe talk to you soon!

Sewing is a gateway

Good morning everyone I guess I should say since its 12 am right now where I am...I have been in my sewing room literally all day creating things and doing other little business...I have some good news to share!...One of my friends is opening a boutique in Indiana and she wants to display some of my bags!  How cool is that?...I mean seriously, how cool is that?...and I am due to meet with someone else for her boutique here locally later on today!....I am feeling the sewing love I tell you what!...I love to sew and thats all there is to it....I whipped up a maxi skirt earlier but I didnt take any photos...I plan on wearing it on my birthday so I will take a couple shots of it then....I sewed up another bag from my Tashae line I created...One of my cousins said it reminded her of Hello Kitty!...I thought that was thee coolest thing especially since I have loved Hello Kitty since I was a little girl...at the present I am sprucing up a halter top that was Lavender in color...I used Tulip's Permanent Fabric Dye and now its a pretty violet color....Im putting it in the wash later....school is going well, I only have 5 more courses left!...(the home stretch is killing me though).....I believe I have another purse to share from my Tashae line too but I will have to check the last post to see if I did already...well I dont want to go on and on so I will get to the photos now hehehehe!.....P.S. I really love my new sewing room...I really do....and I have some super cute new business cards!  Yep, sewing has completely taken over my life....and I love it!

Movin' on up

Hey all!....we moved recently to a new house that seemed to be catered to me!...I have a new sewing room!...I will share photos of course at the end of this post....I also had to try it out and completed a totebag/shopper set last night as well....my first creation from this room is very sunny and bright....I love the room...I can close all the doors and just create until my heart's content....(although I dont shut the doors, I like to see what my huny is doing hehehehe).....this house was very dirty when I we moved in so my sewing room was set up last after I cleaned and disinfected this new place....I guess I saved the best for last.....I also started two new classes yesterday as well...I was very busy doing this, that, and the other....I finally have some down time and figured I had better say something before everyone thinks I fell off the face of the Earth!.....im still here and still sewing up stuff....so check out my new sewing room and shopper set.....watch out, the following photos are soooo cool you gotta wear shades!...LOL!
